LOSHI

conference
Founded in response to the increased risk of occupational injury or death faced by Spanish-speaking immigrant workers LOSHI seeks to offer quality and cost effective health and safety training in Spanish to Latino workers. By working with employers, unions, community organizations, and communities of faith, LOSHI has developed site-specific health and safety programs and has provided training to more than 1,000 workers and has developed over 100 worker-trainers in New Jersey and across the United States.

Latinos have a higher risk of workplace death than all other workers in the U.S. More alarming, the rate of occupational fatality for latino workers born outside of the U.S. is 44 percent higher than the overall average. For more information, visit: www.loshi.org.
